These programmes, which can be pursued without any career break, have been designed and developed by BITS Pilani WILP in collaboration with major automotive companies. Besides work-focused experiences forming an active part of the curriculum of these programmes, the pedagogy also enables the apt integration of theory with relevant practice, which is especially crucial in the automotive industry. BITS Pilani WILP Wins Prestigious QS Reimagine Education Bronze Award in Lifelong Learning Category
Abu Dhabi and Hyderabad — December 27, 2023 The Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani’s Work Integrated Learning Programmes (WILP) division became the only Indian institution to be bestowed with an Award in “Lifelong Learning Category” at the prestigious Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) Reimagine Education Awards 2023 hosted recently in Abu Dhabi. The WILP division, which received the Bronze Award, is an innovative model of higher education; its degree/certification programmes are designed and developed exclusively for the working professionals (in collaboration with their employers) to address specific learning outcomes.
Leveraging Metaverse BITS Pilani WILP Hosts Arguably India's Largest Convocation for Working Professionals
This was arguably the first convocation in India that was organised for working professionals at such a large scale, especially by a leading higher education institute in science, engineering, and management domains. While about 900 working professionals, accompanied by their loved ones, participated in the Convocation organized at the Hyderabad campus and received their degrees in person, several thousands of others received theirs virtually through the revolutionary Metaverse technology in a near-realistic and immersive environment.
