Prof Brajabandhu Mishra

Brajabandhu Mishra is an Associate Professor at BITS Pilani. His area of expertise includes Embedded Software in the domains of Audio, Video, Networking and Smartphone. Brajabandhu has spent more than 17 years in Industry in Embedded Software domain with companies such as Intel, Broadcom, LG, and Pace. He has filed several patents in US patent office, out of which 11 patents have been granted. Brajabandhu received his Master's degree in Electronics Design and Technology from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. He designs and delivers courses in Embedded Systems Design, Real Time Systems, Software for Embedded Systems, and Network Embedded Applications through the Work Integrated Learning Programmes initiative of BITS Pilani.

G Venkiteswaran

G Venkiteswaran is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics and the Associate Dean for QA & A in WILP Division. He received his M. Sc. Degree in Mathematics from Indian Institute of Technology, Madras in 1997 and then Master of Science in Industrial Mathematics and Ph. D in Mathematics from The Technical University of Kaiserslautern (TUKL) in 1999 and 2003 respectively. He worked as a postdoc at the Graduate College TUKL for about 2 years before joining BITS, Pilani in 2004. Venkiteswaran spent about a year teaching in the campus before his transfer to the Off-Campus centre in Chennai. Since 2005, he has been handling the Off-Campus activities of the institute. He has taught several courses in Mathematics and Computer Science at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. His research interests include stochastic modelling, solution of high-dimensional partial differential equations using particle methods.

Udayan Chanda

Udayan Chanda is currently working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Management, Birla Institute of Technology & Science (BITS) Pilani. Earlier he was associated with Industrial Statistics Lab., Department of Information & Industrial Engineering, Yonsei University as Post Doctoral Fellow, and Department of Operational Research, University of Delhi as Assistant Professor. He received his Ph.D. Degree in Marketing Models and Optimization (Operational Research) from University of Delhi, Delhi in 2009. He did his Master’s in Operational Research from University of Delhi in 2003. He has published extensively in the area of Marketing Models, Optimization, Software Reliability and Inventory Management. He is the recipient of AIMS International Outstanding Young Management Researcher Award 2017 and Young Scientist Award- VIFRA 2015. He is Cited in Marquis Who's Who in the World (Twenty Ninth Edition, 2012, 2011) and Marquis Who's Who in Asia 2012 (2nd Edition). He received The National Research Foundation of Korea (Republic) Scholarship 2010, to pursue Post Doctoral Research at the Yonsei University. He is also a member of the editorial review boards of several reputed journals. His research interests include Marketing Models, Inventory Modeling, Software Reliability Growth Modeling, Dynamic Optimization Techniques etc.

Dr. Lucy Gudino

Dr. Lucy J. Gudino received her B.E. degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Kuvempu University, in 1994, and M.Tech. and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Science from Visvesvaraya Technological University, Karnataka, India, in 2003 and 2010 respectively. She is currently working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Information Systems at BITS-Pilani, India.

Virendra Singh Shekhawat is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science & Information Systems, Pilani. KG Krishna is an Associate Professor with the Department of Computer Science & Information Systems at BITS Pilani. He has over 35 years of experience in the IT industry in design and delivery of products and services for global clients in Embedded Systems and the Enterprise Software arena. He is passionate about Science and Electronics and in his spare time loves to dirty his hands building physical models and run thought-experiments on paper when out of resources. His interests include Design Thinking, Internet-of-Things, Developmental Economics, eGovernance and Digital Organisations. Krishna started his career with typing lines of Fortran code on a punch-card machine after graduating with M.Tech. from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore.

YVK Ravi Kumar is an Asst Professor Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, he holds B Sc (M P C) from Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati, A. P in 1991. M Sc (Applied Mathematics) from Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati, 1993 and Ph.D. from Osmania University, Hyderabad in 2009 – Fluid Dynamics.

K R Anupama

K R Anupama is a Professor in the Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering at BITS Pilani. Her area of expertise is Networked/ Deeply Embedded Systems and she has been engaged in research and teaching for the past 18 years in this area. Anupama has worked extensively on industrial projects in the area of Network Embedded Systems, and has completed sponsored research projects to the tune of INR 20mn. She also has built a WSN-based system for remote monitoring pipeline health and customer gas consumption via internet for Gas Authority of India Limited. As a key member of the Programme Committee for Embedded Systems, Anupama has been designing MOOC courses for over 3 years. She is also the Lead instructor for SPOC course on Microprocessor and Embedded System Design available on various platforms including the Work Integrated Learning Programmes initiative of BITS Pilani.

Prof Mayank Goel

Dr. Mayank Goel is an Assistant Professor since February 2011, at the Department of Mathematics, BITS Pilani KK Birla Goa Campus.  Previously, he served as a Quantitative Analyst at Research Group of Deep Value Technology (India) Pvt. Ltd. There, he was involved in research and development of trade execution algorithms for the New York Stock Exchange.  He also served as a Quantitative Analyst in the Investment Banking Division of Credit Suisse (India) Pvt. Ltd to find trades in the Japanese stock market.  Dr. Mayank Goel started his professional career in 2006 as Research Analyst-Quantitative Equity Research with BA Continuum Solutions Pvt. Ltd. (A non-bank subsidiary of Bank of America).
He holds a Ph.D. degree on “Portfolio Optimisation with Risk-sensitive Criterion” from the Department of Mathematics, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay.

Nirankush Dutta

Dr. Nirankush Dutta joined BITS Pilani as a faculty in the Department of Management in 2017. He brings with him six years of work experience, of which four years are in the IT industry in India and abroad, and two years are in the academia, where he taught Management courses to students of post-graduate level.
 
His primary research interest lies in Online Social Media Marketing and e-Commerce. In his Doctoral thesis he has focused on building an empirically validated model on the role of trust in Online Social Media Marketing. His research papers have been published by International Journal of Web Based Community (ABDC indexed, Category “B”), Journal of Internet Commerce (ABDC indexed, Category “B”) and Indore Management Journal (Published by Indian Institute of Management Indore).  Case studies authored by him have been published in Emerald Emerging Market Case Studies, Ivey Cases and International Journal of Case Studies in Management (Published by HEC Montreal) and are available through Harvard Business Publishing.

Prof Padma Murali

Padma Murali is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics, Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, stationed at Off campus, Chennai. She has been with BITS Pilani since January 2003. Padma received her non formal M.Phil. and Ph.D. from BITS Pilani in the year 2004 and 2008 respectively. Her research is in the area of mathematical biology using mathematical, statistical and computational tools like differential equations, graph theory and machine learning algorithms for regression analysis and discriminant analysis.
Padma is a recipient of the UGC funded major research project titled “Cardiovascular Disease in Human Population: Mathematical modeling and analysis of its incidence, risk factors, and preventive strategies” during the  years 2011-2014 and  a CSIR research project titled “Modeling and Analysis of the Dynamics of Diabetes Mellitus in the Indian Population and Control Measures” since 2016.
Padma’s teaching interests include courses in Mathematics and Theoretical Computer Science like Calculus, Linear Algebra, Discrete Structures, Data Structures and Algorithms Design, Data science.
She is involved in Practice school I and Practice School II activities and is involved in WILP, teaching Programme Design as well as external assessment activities of WILP CSIS programmes.

Sandeep Kayastha

Sandeep Kayastha is an Associate Professor in off-campus programs. He completed his MTech from IIT Kharagpur. Prof Sandeep teaches MBA level courses in Operations Management and allied areas, and conducts Management Development Programs for senior executives in the manufacturing industry. Before joining BITS he worked as a faculty member in several leading educational and research institutes of the country.
Sandeep Kayastha is an active researcher. His current areas of research are marketing and contract law, workload reduction, simulation, and history of technology.

Shekhar Rajagopalan

S Rajagopalan is an Associate Professor at Birla institute of technology & Science, Pilani. He received his doctorate in Mathematics and an MS in Computer Science from Syracuse University.  He has an experience of approximately 25 years, split equally between the corporate world and Academics.  He started his career working as an Scientist in an Image Processing project.  He has managed large operations in IT and IT-enabled services.  He has taught in courses in Mathematics, Operations Research, Statistics, Computer Science and Finance.  Currently he is working in the area of Data Science.  He has several papers published in international journals.

Krishnamurthy Bindumadhavan

Krishnamurthy Bindumadhavan is an Associate Professor and Group Leader of the Management Group, Off Campus Programs at Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani. He is based out of Hyderabad. Prof. Bindumadhavan  is a CFA charterholder from CFA Institute, USA and FRM titleholder from GARP, USA.  He also holds an undergraduate degree in engineering and an MBA. He has over 15 years of international experience in the banking and financial services industry, including 8 years with Capital One, a top 10 US bank, based out of Richmond, Virginia. In addition to working for a bank he has also worked as a consultant, entrepreneur and faculty among other roles. He is very passionate about teaching and joined BITS, Pilani in December 2014.

Prof G S Sesha Chalapathi

G S Sesha Chalapathi is a Lecturer with the Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering at BITS Pilani. He has received his Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering with Distinction and Master of Engineering in Embedded Systems from BITS Pilani. He is currently working for his Ph.D. at BITS Pilani in Wireless Sensor Networks- Time Synchronization and Localization Protocol Design. Chalapathi has been teaching courses in Digital Design, Electrical Science, Microprocessor Programming & Interfacing, Real-Time Systems, and Hardware-Software Co-design at both undergraduate and graduate level for over 6 years. He also guides undergraduate and graduate level students pursuing dissertations and research in areas such as Embedded Systems Design and Wireless Sensor Networks.

Prof Sreejith V

Sreejith V is a Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science and Information Systems at BITS Pilani. Prior to joining BITS Pilani, Sreejith was working at Indian Institute of Technology, Madras as a Project Associate in the area of Wireless Sensor Network (WSN). His specialization includes protocol development for Mobile WSN and Terrestrial WSN. His research interests include developing protocols for monitoring and tracking applications using WSN, area exploration using mobile robots, energy efficient communication protocol development for mobile WSN, affective computing and location based services. His teaching interest includes Computer Networks, Pervasive Computing, Software Development for portable devices etc.

Anu Gupta received the M.Sc (Hons) in Physics from Delhi University in 1988, M.E and Ph.D. degrees from Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani, BITS Pilani in 1995, 2003, respectively. In 1995, she joined BITS Pilani as Assistant Lecturer. She was designated as Assistant Professor (in 2003), Associate Professor (in 2010), and Professor (in 2016) at BITS Pilani. Her research interest includes Low power analog/ digital/ mixed signal design for FPGA/ ASIC applications.

Arnab Hazra

Arnab Hazra is currently Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, BITS-Pilani, Pilani campus. Arnab received his B. Tech degree from West Bengal University of Technology, Kolkata, India in 2009. He received his M. Tech and Ph.D. Degree from Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology (IIEST), Shibpur, India in 2011 and 2015, respectively. He has published about 45 research articles in journals and conferences of international repute. His present research interest includes 1-D nanostructured semiconducting metal oxide based gas/vapor sensors and other semiconductor devices like Resistive Random Access Memory (RRAM). He received the Best Ph.D. Thesis award by INAE in 2015 and ISSS in 2016. He is the recipient of the IEI Young Engineer Award by Institute of Engineers, India in 2016. He is a member of IEEE Electron Device Society from 2014 onwards and a life member of MRSI.

Neena Goveas is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Birla Institute of Technology & Science Pilani, K K Birla Goa Campus. Her area of expertise is Network Science, Cyber Physical Systems and Wireless Sensor Networks. She has been engaged in research and teaching for the past 20 years in these areas.

Pawan Sharma

Pawan Sharma is an Assistant Professor in the Work Integrated Learning Programmes Division of BITS Pilani. His area of expertise is Digital VLSI Design and Reconfigurable Computing and has been engaged in research and teaching in the field of Microelectronics for the last 17 years. Pawan has over six years of industrial experience in design and automation of distributed control systems in process industries. He has played a key role in establishing state-of-the-art virtual and remote laboratories in the field of VLSI Design, Electrical Engineering and Embedded Systems at BITS-Pilani.
Pawan completed his Masters in Microelectronics from BITS, Pilani, Pilani campus in 2005.

Prof Arun Maity

Arun Maity is an Associate Professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department at Birla Institute of Technology & Science (BITS), Pilani (Rajasthan). He did his graduation in Mechanical Engineering from Government Engineering College (now NIT) Raipur and Master’s in Mechanical Engineering with specialisation in Production Engineering (Management Science Group) from the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Vadodara. He has done his Ph.D. in the field of Manufacturing Excellence from Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani at Grasim Industries Limited.
His areas of interest are manufacturing excellence, project management and human resource management. He earned a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management from IGNOU and certificates on Project Management from RITx through edX as part of professional development.

Prof Meetha V Shenoy

Meetha V Shenoy is a Lecturer in the Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering at BITS Pilani where she has been teaching for over 5 years. Meetha's specialization is in the area of Deeply Embedded Systems and she teaches courses on Embedded System Design and Microprocessor programming & Interfacing. She has been lead instructor and member of the content development team for these courses delivered through BITS Pilani's online content delivery platform.
Her current research work includes design of Optimal Embedded Hardware and Software Architectures for Mobile Wireless Sensor Networks, Swarm Robotic Systems and Autonomous Navigation in indoor environments. Meetha has industrial experience in serving as a Design and Development Engineer with an organization that provides technology consultancy, software and system design services for the automotive, consumer electronics, telecom and healthcare industries.

Prof Monika Gupta

Monika Gupta is currently Assistant Professor in Department of Economics and Finance, BITS-Pilani, Pilani campus. She has completed Fellow Programme in Management (PhD) in Economics and Business Environment Area at Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Lucknow in April 2017. Before that she has done masters in Economics and has around two years teaching experience. Her research interests consist of topics in energy economics, environmental policy, GHG emissions, climate change and Transport Economics. A few of her manuscripts have been published in reputed peer-reviewed journals.

Prof Srijata Dey

Srijata Dey is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics, BITS-Pilani, Pilani campus. She received her Master of Sciences in Physics from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur in 1988. She received her Ph.D. Degree from the University of Heidelberg, Germany in 1994.

She did postdoctoral research in experimental condensed matter physics with specialization in scanning probe microscopy, surface analysis, thin films etc. in different institutes across the world, namely: University of Heidelberg, Germany; Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, USA; Max Planck Institute of Microstructure Physics, Halle, Germany; Electronics & Telecommunications Research Institute, Taejon, S. Korea; Academia Sinica, Taipei, Taiwan. Coming back to India she worked as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics, Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur for two years before joining BITS PIlani in 2003.

Her research interests are scanning probe microscopy, thin films, surface analytical techniques

Srinivas Kota

Srinivas Kota is an Assistant Professor in Mechanical Engineering Group under Work Integrated Learning Programmes Division (WILPD) of Birla Institute of Technology and Science Pilani. He has a PhD from Indian Institute of Science Bangalore, India in Design. He also had Post-Doctoral experience at Indian Institute of Science, India and G-SCOP Laboratory, INP Grenoble, France.
He has developed a software to help designers in estimating product lifecycle environmental impact and the associated uncertainty while designing. He has a research experience of 15 years and published papers in reputed journals and international conferences. His research interests are Product Design, Product Lifecycle Design, Sustainability, Uncertainty in Design and Virtual Reality for Design. He has a joint patent and reviewer of articles for several international reputed journals. He is a Fellow of Institution of Engineers and a member of several technical societies in India and abroad. His expertise includes design, delivery and administration of Experiential Learning Initiatives apart from course design and delivery, programme design and administration

Prof Rajiv Gupta

Rajiv Gupta is an Adjunct Professor in the Work Integrated Learning Program at BITS Pilani. His principal areas of teaching interests are Manufacturing Systems, Lean Manufacturing, Quality, and Logistics & Supply Chain Management. He is also involved in courses related to the application of Lean Manufacturing and Quality in Healthcare. Dr. Gupta has been a full-time faculty member at the State University of New York at Buffalo, and the General Motors Institute in Flint Michigan. He has also taught as Adjunct Faculty at Kettering University (new name for General Motors Institute), and the University of Michigan at the Dearborn campus. In addition he has taught at the S.P. Jain Institute for Global Management in Dubai and Singapore, the FORE School of Management in Delhi and the School of Inspired Leadership (SOIL) in Gurgaon. Dr. Gupta has successfully run his consulting business as an International Associate of Tompkins Associates of Raleigh, North Carolina, as well as an independent consultant to automotive and other companies. He has also held the position of Head of Automotive Operations and Solution Design at Mahindra Logistics. Dr. Gupta holds a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University, an M.S. in Industrial Engineering from North Carolina State University, and a B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering from I.I.T. Delhi.

Srinivas Prakash Regalla

Dr. Srinivasa Prakash Regalla is Professor of Mechanical Engineering and Coordinator of the Center for Product Design and Realization (CPDR) at Birla Institute of Technology & Science Pilani (BITS Pilani), Hyderabad Campus. He obtained his Ph.D. in 1998 on Evaluation of Boundary Friction under Sub-surface Plastic Deformation for Metal Forming Processes from IIT Delhi. He obtained his M.Tech. in 1992 with specialization in Manufacturing Science/Mechanical Engineering from IIT Kanpur, where he carried out his thesis work on finite element analysis of steady state cold rolling of strain hardening material. He obtained his B.Tech. in 1990 in Mechanical Engineering from Kakatiya University, Warangal, where he was awarded a silver medal for academic excellence and second rank in the class. In 2015, his undergraduate college, Kakatiya Institute of Technology & Science Warangal, honored him with the distinguished alumni award for overall achievements in his academic career. He has 20 years of research experience, which includes 17 years of teaching and brief industrial experience. He taught courses both at the undergraduate level and postgraduate level, both to university students and industrial working professionals, in design and manufacturing engineering and is credited with the development of several new core and elective courses. He worked in the Manufacturing Systems Integration Division (MSID) at the NIST, Gaithersburg, Maryland, USA in 1998 as a Guest Researcher, during which he carried out research in the engineering design technologies related to National Advanced Manufacturing Testbed (NAMT).

Vikas Chaudhari

Dr. Vikas Chaudhari is presently working as an Assistant Professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department at the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, KK Birla Goa campus, Goa, India. He has over 15 years of teaching experience.
He has been teaching core mechanical courses like Fracture Mechanics, Mechanics of Solids, Materials Technology and Testing, Structure and Properties of Material etc.
He completed his graduation in Mechanical Engineering from University of Pune in 2000. He obtained his M. Tech Degree in Machine Design from Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University (IT-BHU), Varanasi, India, in 2003. He completed his Ph.D. from BITS Pilani, India, in 2013.
His area of research is Material Testing and Fracture Mechanics. He has published over 20 research papers in the international and national journals / conferences of repute.

S Raghuraman

S.Raghuraman  is currently Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering working as off campus faculty at Chennai. Raghuraman received his B.E. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Madurai Kamaraj University and M.E degree in Mechanical Engineering (Specialization in Refrigeration and Air conditioning) from Bharathiar university in 1992 and 1994 respectively.
He worked as a Senior Engineer (R&D) with National factory for Air conditioners in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from 1994 -2000. He had a career with Blue Star Limited, as senior manager (Product Development) from 2000-2004. He worked as Deputy General Manager (Design and Development) with Awal Gulf manufacturing at Kingdom of Bahrain from 2005 -2015 , before joining BITS Pilani from September 2015.
He teaches Concurrent Engineering, Product Design, Mechatronics, Thermodynamics courses.  Raghuraman had conducted certification program on Pumps, fans and Blowers besides functioning as member of team which delivered certification program on Instrumentation, control systems, Mechanical design elements such as Bearings, Shafts, and Fasteners.
His field of interest includes Alternate Refrigerants, Energy efficiency, control systems and new product development

Kurra Suresh

Dr. Kurra Suresh did his M.Tech Production Engineering from IIT Delhi and Ph.D from BITS Pilani Hyderabad Campus. His main research interests are manufacturing process simulations, computer aided manufacturing and advanced manufacturing processes. He has published nearly twenty research papers in various international journals and conferences. He has over ten years’ of experience in teaching. Presently, he is working as an Assistant Professor in BITS Pilani Hyderabad Campus. He teaches Computer Aided Design, Computer Aided Manufacturing, Finite Element Methods, Manufacturing Processes and Engineering Graphics with Auto CAD to UG and PG students.

Prof Sudeep Kumar Pradhan

Dr. Sudeep Kumar Pradhan is working as Assistant Professor in Mechanical Engineering department of BITS Pilani, Pilani campus and stationed at Pune Off-campus center. He received his Bachelor in Engineering from Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT), Odisha in 2006. He received his Master of Engineering in Manufacturing System Engineering and Ph.D. in Supply Chain Management from BITS Pilani in the year 2009 and 2014 respectively. His research interest lies in supply management integration, supplier development, and supply chain visibility and operation research. He involved in teaching various courses like Supply Chain Management, Quality Control Assurance & Reliability, Production Planning and Control, Statistical Process Control etc.at graduate and undergraduate level. In administrative responsibility, he is faculty In-Charge and program Coordinator for B.Tech Manufacturing Technology and M.Tech Automotive Engineering program at Cummins India Ltd. and Tata Motors Ltd. respectively. Prof Pratyush Banerjee

Dr. Pratyush Banerjee is at present Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Management, BITS Pilani, Pilani Campus. Dr. Banerjee completed his Ph.D. in 2014 from ICFAI University Dehradun in the area of ‘E-recruitment'. He holds a PGDM with HRM specialisation from AIMA and a B.Tech in Electronics and Telecommunications from Kalyani University, West Bengal. He had brief stints in the Telecom and the RPO industries before pursuing his academic career. Overall, he has more than five years of experience in Academics and Industry. He holds a certificate in Business Analytics from Carlton Advanced Management Institute (UK) and he is a Certified HR Analytics Professional from Aon-Hewitt. He has conducted MDPs and FDPs on HR/Business Analytics. He has been involved in curriculum development for HR Analytics course in IBS Hyderabad and BITS Pilani. At present, he is involved in writing a book on Applications of HR Analytics with Sage Publishing.

Mr. Gajanand Gupta is working as a lecturer and pursuing his Ph.D. in the Mechanical Engineering Department of Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani, Pilani Campus. He received his B.E. degree in Mechanical Eengineering from UCE, Kkota and M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from NIT Rourkela, India in 2009 and 2011 respectively. Prof Anil Jindal

Dr. Anil Jindal is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacy at the Birla Institute of Technology and Science Pilani Pilani Campus. His research is focused on nanotechnology based targeted drug delivery systems in infectious diseases. He obtained his Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from University of Rajasthan and Master of Pharmacy degree from Bombay College of Pharmacy, University of Mumbai. Subsequently, he worked as Formulator in R&D at Pfizer, Mumbai. He obtained his PhD degree from Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai. Subsequently, he worked as Research Scientist in R&D (Formulation) at IPCA Laboratories LTD, Mumbai for one year. He is an author of over 11 publications and 03 book chapters. He is also an inventor in 02 patent application including one PCT application in the field of nano drug delivery systems. He is a recipient of Prof. M.L. Khorana Memorial Award (2010) for the best research paper in the field of Pharmaceutics & Bio-Pharmaceutics. He received Sir Ratan Tata Trust fellowship and AICTE fellowships during his postgraduation studies and UGC and ICMR fellowships during PhD. His Doctorate research finding - Role of nanocarrier shape on drug targeting [J. Pharm. Sci., 2010, 99(6), 2576-2581) was appeared in  “The Scientist” in April 2010 {Publisher  LabX Media Group, Canada} and was globally recognized as cutting edge research in nanotechnology. He obtained All India Rank 4th in GATE competitive examination in the year of 2005.

Prof Anupama Mittal

Dr. Anupama Mittal has been working an as Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacy, BITS Pilani, Pilani campus since June 2014. She completed her B.Pharmacy from Delhi Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research (DIPSAR), Delhi University and pursued her Master’s and Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics from NIPER, Mohali. Thereafter she went to University of Tennessee, Memphis, USA and University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC), Omaha, USA for her post-doctoral training.
Her research interests primarily focus on nanotechnology based drug delivery systems, including polymeric, lipidic, lipopolymeric and cell-based carriers in diabetes and cancer. Her lab is actively engaged in the areas of polymer synthesis and characterisation, designing nano-formulations, cell culture studies, pharmacokinetics, biodistribution and pharmacodynamic studies with financial support from DST-SERB, DST-RAJASTHAN, DST-NANOMISSION, ICMR and DBT.
She takes keen interest in teaching students both on-campus and through work integrated learning programs initiative of BITS and has been teaching Physical Pharmacy, Advanced Physical Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Administration and Management, Instrumental Methods of Analysis and Advanced Drug Delivery Systems.

Prof Atish Paul

Dr. Atish T. Paul completed his Bachelors Degree in Pharmacy from University of Pune (Maharashtra). He pursued M.S. (Pharmaceutical Sciences) and Ph.D. in Natural Products from National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER S.A.S Nagar). After completion of his doctorate he joined the research group of Prof. Ikhlas Khan as postdoctoral Research Associate at the National Center for Natural Product Research (University of Mississippi, USA).
Currently he is working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacy, Birla Institute of Technology and Science located in Pilani (Rajasthan). His area of expertise is Natural Product Chemistry. He has research grants from agencies such as DST-SERB, DST (SEED), DBT etc. He has published several research articles in reputed international journals such as Journal of Medicinal Chemistry, Bio-organic Medicinal Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry Research, Journal of Chromatography A, and has also contributed 24 Monographs. He is a reviewer for various journals of reputed publishers such as Bentham, Elsevier etc and also for funding agencies such as DST SERB, South African Medical Research Council etc.

Prof Gautam Singhvi

Dr. Gautam Singhvi is working as Assistant Professor in Department of Pharmacy, BITS, Pilani. He has done his PhD in the area of pharmaceutical product development. He has industrial research experience in solid oral product development, process development, process optimization, process scale-up  and technology transfer. He has worked on immediate release and controlled release tablets, bilayer tablets, capsules and sachets and multi-particulate pellets formulations using extrusion and sphronization process for regulatory markets. Currently he is working in the area of lipid based formulations, topical drug delivery, and multi particulate drug delivery systems for selected drug candidates.  
He has personally worked and supervised development of modified release solid oral dosage forms for site specific delivery to GIT (gastro-retentive), micro- & nano-particulate drug delivery systems, liquisol technique, and  solubility & bioavailability enhancement platforms. He is also involved in dissolution method development, pharmacokinetic studies of designed formulation and development of in-vitro in-vivo correlation.

Prof. Punna Rao Ravi

Prof. Punna Rao Ravi is currently working as Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmacy, BITS Pilani Hyderabad Campus. He obtained his B.Pharm, M.Pharm and Ph.D. Degrees in Pharmaceutical Sciences from BITS Pilani, Rajasthan. He has been working as a faculty member in BITS Pilani since 2000. He has many publications in reputed international and national peer-reviewed journals and has presented papers in scientific conferences, both in India and abroad. He has successfully completed two government sponsored research projects and three industry sponsored consultancy projects. He has designed and delivered several short-term certificate courses on Biostatistics, Pharmacokinetics and Design of Experiments for executives working in pharma industries. His research interests include Bioanalytical Method Development and Validation, Nanoparticulate Drug Delivery Systems and Pharmacokinetics. He had supervised 3 doctoral thesis students and currently has 7 students pursuing their doctoral thesis under his supervision.

Prof. Sunil Kumar Dubey

Dr. Sunil Kumar Dubey is presently working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacy, BITS, Pilani. He has done his Ph.D. in Pharmacokinetics and Biodistribution Studies of Selected Racemic Drugs from BITS, Pilani. He has more than 11 years of industrial research and teaching experience. He has worked as research scientist in Ranbaxy Laboratories Limited from 2006 to 2009. During his industrial tenure he has successfully completed many projects, including development, validation, preclinical and clinical studies, in addition he has successfully faced audits performed by FDA, ANVISA, MHRA, WHO, DCGI. He has successfully completed institutional and industrial projects related to formulation development, analytical method development and validation, pharmacokinetic investigation etc. He has got good expertise in IVIVC, PKPD, PBPK Modeling and Simulation. Presently he is handling various industrial and government funded projects.

Prof. Deepak Chitkara

Deepak Chitkara is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacy at BITS Pilani since June 2014. He did his B.Pharm. from Punjab University Chandigarh and M.S. (Pharm.) in Pharmaceutics specialization from National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER). He obtained his Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from NIPER. After that, he did his post-doctoral training at University of Nebraska Medical Center, Omaha, NE in the area of Nanomedicines for cancer treatment. He is a recipient of the Ranbaxy Science Scholar Award -2011.
His research interests include nano-based delivery systems for small molecules, miRNAs and CRISPR / Cas genome editing tools. He has been working in the area of nanotechnology since 2007. His lab is well funded through extramural grants from DST, DBT, ICMR and the Industry. He has been teaching courses in Dispensing Pharmacy, Advanced Drug Delivery Systems, and Advanced Pharmaceutical Technology at BITS Pilani. The mechanisms, designing, delivery, and therapeutic applications of small molecules, proteins and peptides and RNAi are extensively discussed in these courses.

Anjani Srikanth Koka is presently working as a Lecturer (Off-Campus) in the Department of Management at BITS, Pilani – Hyderabad Off-Campus Centre. He did his M.Sc (Hons.) Mathematics, MMS and Ph.D from BITS, Pilani in 2007 and 2017.
He has been teaching courses viz., Principles of Management, Managerial Communication, Technical Report Writing and Human Resource Management to working professionals who pursue their off-campus degrees from BITS, Pilani. He has 9 years of teaching experience. He has worked for over 2 years in the IT industry prior to joining BITS Pilani. He has published several research papers in International and National Journals. Prof Chandradew Sharma

Chandradew Sharma is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics at Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani. His area of expertise is Econophysics and High Energy Physics. He did his Ph.D. in 2009 from the Institute of Mathematical Sciences, Chennai. He has joined the BITS, Pilani in 2009. He has been teaching both Physics and Mathematics. Khalid Anwar received his BE degree in Mechanical Engineering from Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, India in 2008. He successfully completed his Master’s Degree in Thermodynamics and Fluid Mechanics from Inha University, Incheon, Republic of Korea in 2010. Now, he is working as a lecturer at BITS, Pilani – Hyderabad Campus. His research interests are Sustainable Energy, Development of Microgrid, and Energy Management System.

M K Hamirwasia is a Faculty Member at Birla institute of Technology & Science, Pilani since August 1996.
Besides guiding and monitoring students on projects in the PS-II and PS-I programmes of BITS, Pilani which have resulted in huge savings and increase in productivity in Industry, he has been instrumental in delivering the Work Integrated Learning Programmes of BITS, Pilani at various Organizations like Indian Rayon, Veraval, Saurashtra Chemicals, Porbandar, Digjam Woollen Mills, Jamnagar, Wipro Technologies, Bangalore, DSL, Bangalore, Dell, Bangalore, JSW Steel, Vijayanagar, TCS, Delhi, Aricent Technologies, Gurgaon and Maruti Suzuki India Limited, Gurgaon. He has contributed significantly in promoting University-Industry linkage. His major interests include online education for working professionals.

Dr. Samir R. Kale is currently working as Assistant Professor (Off Campus) at BITS, Pilani. He joined BITS, Pilani as off campus Faculty (Asst.Lecturer) in 2001 at Grasim Industries Limited, Nagda. He taught various Process Engineering Courses such Chemical reaction engineering, Process Control, Process Design Principles along with numerous foundation courses.
He supervised nearly 140 plant based projects at Grasim, Nagda. He has also coordinated many WILP programs of BITS, Pilani. (Grasim, Dr. Reddy’s, Verizon, Chambal Fertilizers etc).
He has published research papers in areas of Process Safety and Process Design area.
He completed his M.E (Chemical Engineering, Dec-2000) and PhD (Safety, Aug 2015) and currently works at Hyderabad off Campus Center of BITS,Pilani since 2014.

Prof Narayan Suresh Manjarekar

Narayan Suresh Manjarekar is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering at Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani, K K Birla Goa Campus. He completed his B.E. degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Mumbai. He completed his M.Tech and Ph.D. in Systems and Control Engineering from IIT Bombay. His areas of interest are Systems Theory, Control Systems, Vibration Control, and Electrical Power Systems Stabilization.
He has been engaged in teaching and research at BITS Pilani, Goa Campus from June 2010. He has taught courses such as Control Systems, Signals and Systems, Electrical Machines, and Digital Signal Processing. Prof Sandip Deshmukh

Prof. Sandip Deshmukh is working as an Associate Professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department of BITS Pilani – Hyderabad campus, India from 2012. Before joining the Hyderabad Campus, he was working at the Centre for Environmental Strategy, University of Surrey, UK as a Research Fellow from 2008 to 2012, working on EPSRC funded research projects. Before joining the centre, he worked for five years as a Lecturer at Amravati University, India and for eight years as a Lecturer/Assistant Professor at BITS, Pilani – Pilani Campus, India. He holds a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering and Master’s in Thermal Power Engineering from Amravati University and a Ph.D. from BITS, Pilani on ‘Region-wise Development of Integrated Renewable Energy Systems’. His main research interests relate to regional energy planning with a focus on decentralized energy supply options and energy resource allocation for socio-economic and techno-economic development; and has more than 15 international journal publications to his credit. He has expertise in identifying and characterizing options for energy supply for different development types and their integration with other service sectors such as water, waste and transport. He has a teaching subject expertise in various subjects such as: Thermodynamics, Prime Movers and Fluid Machines, Power Plant Engineering, I C Engines, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, Energy Conservation, etc.

Prof Santosh Khandgave

Santosh Khandgave is currently Lecturer (Off-campus) in Work Integrated Learning Programme and Practice School Divisions, BITS-Pilani, Pilani campus. Santosh received B.Tech. degree in Chemical Engineering from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University (BATU), Lonere and M.E.in Chemical Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology & Science(BITS), Pilani in June 2006 and Jan 2009 respectively. He was associated with Hindustan Zinc Limited (a Vedanta group company) as a process engineer during June 2009 to March 2010 and joined BITS immediately afterwards. His research interests include Transport Phenomena, Chemical process calculations, and computational fluid dynamics of chemical processes.

Prof Srinivas

Prof. Srinivas is presently a Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at BITS Pilani K K Birla Goa campus. He obtained his Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering from Shivaji University in 1991 and his Doctoral Degree from the University of London, United Kingdom in 2004.
In 1993, on completion of the prestigious one year Training School programme at Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), he joined the Chemical Engineering Division at BARC as Scientific Officer. In January 2000, he joined Queen Mary College, University of London to study for a Ph.D. in the area of condensation heat transfer in the presence of a non-condensing gas. In August 2003, he joined the University of Sheffield, United Kingdom as a Post-doctoral Research Assistant and subsequently in January 2005 joined the Chemical Engineering Group (presently Department of Chemical Engineering) at BITS Pilani, K K Birla Goa campus as an Assistant Professor.
As a teacher, Prof. Srinivas’ interests lie in Chemical Engineering Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, Chemical Reaction Engineering and Process Engineering. His main focus of research is in the area of Process Intensification involves addressing challenges posed in developing practical cost effective, energy efficient and environment friendly systems from a commercialization point of view, thereby attempting to bridge the gap between know-why and know-how.
He was also a Visiting Professor at the Department of Chemical and Materials Engineering at Lunghwa University of Institute of Science and Technology, Taiwan from May to July 2009. He is also a Senior Associate Member of the Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE), United Kingdom and Life Member of the Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers (IIChE).

Hussain Yaganti is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics and Finance at BITS Pilani. Dr. Yaganti did his Master’s degree in Applied Econometrics after completion of B.A. (Mathematics, Statistics and Economics) from Acharya Nagarjuna University. He received his Ph.D. degree in Economics from University of Hyderabad. After his Ph.D., he worked in the area of commodity and other derivatives markets. His specialisation includes Time series Econometrics, Macroeconomics, Financial Economics and Agricultural Markets. He teaches courses in Econometric Methods, Security Analysis & Portfolio Management, Derivatives & Risk Management, Marketing Research and Multinational Finance. Dr. Yaganti has been engaged in teaching and research for past 12 years. He has delivered guest lectures in the area of Time series Econometrics at workshops organised by The Indian Econometric Society.

Dr. Haribabu is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Information Systems at BITS Pilani. His areas of expertise are Distributed Systems and Networking. Hari has a teaching experience of 11 years. He has been teaching courses such as Cloud Computing, Computer Networks and Network Programming. He has been actively pursuing his research interests in the area of Peer-to-peer overlays and Software Defined Networking.

Prof Vinay Chamola

Vinay Chamola is currently Assistant Professor in Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, BITS Pilani. Vinay received his B.E. degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering and Master's degree in Communication Engineering from BITS, Pilani, India in 2010 and 2013 respectively. He received his Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National University of Singapore (NUS), Singapore, in 2016. From June to Aug. 2015, he was a Visiting Researcher at the Autonomous Networks Research Group (ANRG) at the University of Southern California (USC), USA. After his Ph.D., he worked as a Post Doctoral Researcher at the National University of Singapore in the area of Internet of Things. His research interests include Internet of Things, Solar powered cellular networks, Energy efficiency in cellular networks and Networking issues in cyber-physical systems.
