Vikas Chaudhari
Vikas Chaudhari

Dr. Vikas Chaudhari is presently working as an Assistant Professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department at the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, KK Birla Goa campus, Goa, India. He has over 15 years of teaching experience.
He has been teaching core mechanical courses like Fracture Mechanics, Mechanics of Solids, Materials Technology and Testing, Structure and Properties of Material etc.
He completed his graduation in Mechanical Engineering from University of Pune in 2000. He obtained his M. Tech Degree in Machine Design from Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University (IT-BHU), Varanasi, India, in 2003. He completed his Ph.D. from BITS Pilani, India, in 2013.
His area of research is Material Testing and Fracture Mechanics. He has published over 20 research papers in the international and national journals / conferences of repute.

S Raghuraman
S Raghuraman

S.Raghuraman  is currently Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering working as off campus faculty at Chennai. Raghuraman received his B.E. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Madurai Kamaraj University and M.E degree in Mechanical Engineering (Specialization in Refrigeration and Air conditioning) from Bharathiar university in 1992 and 1994 respectively.
He worked as a Senior Engineer (R&D) with National factory for Air conditioners in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from 1994 -2000. He had a career with Blue Star Limited, as senior manager (Product Development) from 2000-2004. He worked as Deputy General Manager (Design and Development) with Awal Gulf manufacturing at Kingdom of Bahrain from 2005 -2015 , before joining BITS Pilani from September 2015.
He teaches Concurrent Engineering, Product Design, Mechatronics, Thermodynamics courses.  Raghuraman had conducted certification program on Pumps, fans and Blowers besides functioning as member of team which delivered certification program on Instrumentation, control systems, Mechanical design elements such as Bearings, Shafts, and Fasteners.
His field of interest includes Alternate Refrigerants, Energy efficiency, control systems and new product development

Kurra Suresh
Kurra Suresh

Dr. Kurra Suresh did his M.Tech Production Engineering from IIT Delhi and Ph.D from BITS Pilani Hyderabad Campus. His main research interests are manufacturing process simulations, computer aided manufacturing and advanced manufacturing processes. He has published nearly twenty research papers in various international journals and conferences. He has over ten years’ of experience in teaching. Presently, he is working as an Assistant Professor in BITS Pilani Hyderabad Campus. He teaches Computer Aided Design, Computer Aided Manufacturing, Finite Element Methods, Manufacturing Processes and Engineering Graphics with Auto CAD to UG and PG students.

DR. KALLURI RAM CHANDRA MURTHY
DR. KALLURI RAM CHANDRA MURTHY

Ram Chandra Murthy Kalluri is an Assistant Professor in Mechanical Engineering Department of Birla Institute of Technology and Science Pilani, Hyderabad Campus. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Madras in 2006.  He received his Masters and Ph.D. degrees from the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering department, Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey in 2010 and 2011 respectively.

After the graduate studies, he worked on the Computational Fluid Dynamics solver AcuSolve, part of HyperWorks software at Altair Engineering India Pvt. Ltd., Bangalore, for four years. Altair is a leading provider of software related to Design, Computer Aided Engineering (CAE), High Performance Computing (HPC) and IoT. Thereafter, he moved into teaching at BITS Pilani, Hyderabad Campus. He is primarily involved in teaching both on-campus and WILP courses related to Fluids and Thermal sciences. Some of the courses he taught previously are Thermodynamics, Computational Fluid Dynamics, Computational Heat Transfer, Fluid Mechanics, Convective Heat and Mass Transfer, Mechanical Technology and Advanced Engineering Mathematics. His research interests include Rarefied Gas Dynamics and Applications of Computational Fluid Dynamics to Engineering problems.

Shashank Tiwari
Shashank Tiwari

Shashank Tiwari is an Associate Professor in Mechanical Engineering Department of Birla Institute of Technology and Science Pilani. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering from NIT Raipur in 2002.  He received his Masters from the Materials and Metallurgical  Engineering department, IIT Kanpur in 2004.

He has 15 years of experince of research and product development in automotive industry. He has worked with General Motors R&D Bangalore and Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd. Chennai before joining BITS Pilani in 2019. He is primarily involved in teaching WILP courses related to Engineering Materials, Advanced Materials, Composites and Plastics, Materials Technology and Testing and Fracture Mechanics. His research interests include automotive materials, structure property correlation, microstructure development during deformation, texture analysis, corrosion engineering etc. He has published over 21 reaearch papers in peer reviewed journals and conferences and have more than 15 conference publication and  presentation. He also has one US patent grant and 6 patent applications to his name.

Glyrnn John
Glyrnn John

Glynn John is an Assistant Professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department of Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Madras in 1998.  He received his Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Northeastern University, Boston, USA.

He has over 8 years of experience in the industry and eight years in academics. He has worked in consulting groups for the semiconductor, automation and Logistics Engineering industries both in India and abroad. He is primarily involved in teaching WILP courses related to Engineering Design, Robotics and Energy. His research interests include Solar thermal energy, Design optimization and Sustainable development.
