Srinivas Prakash Regalla
Srinivas Prakash Regalla

Dr. Srinivasa Prakash Regalla is Professor of Mechanical Engineering and Coordinator of the Center for Product Design and Realization (CPDR) at Birla Institute of Technology & Science Pilani (BITS Pilani), Hyderabad Campus. He obtained his Ph.D. in 1998 on Evaluation of Boundary Friction under Sub-surface Plastic Deformation for Metal Forming Processes from IIT Delhi. He obtained his M.Tech. in 1992 with specialization in Manufacturing Science/Mechanical Engineering from IIT Kanpur, where he carried out his thesis work on finite element analysis of steady state cold rolling of strain hardening material. He obtained his B.Tech. in 1990 in Mechanical Engineering from Kakatiya University, Warangal, where he was awarded a silver medal for academic excellence and second rank in the class. In 2015, his undergraduate college, Kakatiya Institute of Technology & Science Warangal, honored him with the distinguished alumni award for overall achievements in his academic career. He has 20 years of research experience, which includes 17 years of teaching and brief industrial experience. He taught courses both at the undergraduate level and postgraduate level, both to university students and industrial working professionals, in design and manufacturing engineering and is credited with the development of several new core and elective courses. He worked in the Manufacturing Systems Integration Division (MSID) at the NIST, Gaithersburg, Maryland, USA in 1998 as a Guest Researcher, during which he carried out research in the engineering design technologies related to National Advanced Manufacturing Testbed (NAMT).

Kurra Suresh
Kurra Suresh

Dr. Kurra Suresh did his M.Tech Production Engineering from IIT Delhi and Ph.D from BITS Pilani Hyderabad Campus. His main research interests are manufacturing process simulations, computer aided manufacturing and advanced manufacturing processes. He has published nearly twenty research papers in various international journals and conferences. He has over ten years’ of experience in teaching. Presently, he is working as an Assistant Professor in BITS Pilani Hyderabad Campus. He teaches Computer Aided Design, Computer Aided Manufacturing, Finite Element Methods, Manufacturing Processes and Engineering Graphics with Auto CAD to UG and PG students.

Sandeep Kayastha
Sandeep Kayastha

Sandeep Kayastha is an Associate Professor in off-campus programs. He completed his MTech from IIT Kharagpur. Prof Sandeep teaches MBA level courses in Operations Management and allied areas, and conducts Management Development Programs for senior executives in the manufacturing industry. Before joining BITS he worked as a faculty member in several leading educational and research institutes of the country.
Sandeep Kayastha is an active researcher. His current areas of research are marketing and contract law, workload reduction, simulation, and history of technology.

Dr. Naga Vamsi Krishna Jasti
Dr. Naga Vamsi Krishna Jasti

Naga Vamsi Krishna Jasti is an Assistant Professor in Mechanical Engineering Group under Work Integrated Learning Programmes Division (WILPD) of Birla Institute of Technology and Science Pilani. He received his Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad, 2004.  He received his Master of Mechanical Engineering and Ph.D. in Lean Manufacturing from BITS Pilani in the year 2006 and 2015 respectively.

He has twelve years’ experience of teaching for industry professionals and handling industry academic projects. He has involved in post-graduation and undergraduate curriculum and content development. He has conducted industrial training programs on manufacturing systems. He has a research experience of 10 years and published twenty research papers in international reputed journals and conferences. He involved in teaching various courses like Lean Manufacturing, Total Quality Management, Manufacturing excellence and World Class Manufacturing at graduate and undergraduate level.  His expertise includes design, delivery and administration of Experiential Learning Initiatives apart from course design and delivery, programme design and administration. In administrative responsibility, he is faculty In-Charge and technology lead for B. Tech (Engineering Technology), M. Tech (Manufacturing Management) and M. Tech (Quality Management) and program committee core team member for B. Tech Engineering Technology, B. Tech Manufacturing Technology and  M. Tech Quality Management.
